 | The beginning of Golden Rule CDC In the year 1968 Montebello UMC began steps towards building Beverly Towers bringing quality, affordable housing to senior citizens. The Beverly Towers, which is a 189 unit Senior housing project, was dedicated in 1975. In 2002 we sold the Beverly Towers and received an affordable housing trust fund. The wise investment in both our Seniors and our Community that allows us today to do our Montebello & East L.A. Family Support Center through the Golden Rule Community Development Corporation. Golden Rule CDC recognizes that we are in a world in need of housing, hope, and help. Today the Montebello United Methodist Church in collaboration with the Montebello & East L.A. Family Support Center and Golden Rule CDC we continue the United Methodist tradition of caring for the needs of the community and the world! |
